Sockburn School Art Exhibition

Sockburn school had an art exhibition about being sustainable and how we can stop pollution. These art masterpieces are all about being sustainable and helping the world.

Matai made some flowers out of rainbow colored plastic curling up a metal pole shining with lights hanging on them. The flowers were set in a square on wooden planks with a gap on one side so you can walk in and enjoy.

Pohutukawa stuck fins on CD’s and colored them in. Then they hung them from the high towering sealing of the hall and spun them around making the CD’s shine.

Finally Kahikatea made some small 3D sculptures that were very extremely awesome and a murle made out of three big boards of wood with colorful paint and pictures. The murle had two sides one side was full of rubbish and pollution and the other side was full of sunshine and gardens. In the middle was a girl with two paths. One path lead to pollution and the other to sunshine and gardens. In the middle was also a sign that said “Choose your path” and a tree connecting the two sides.

From this art exhibition sockburn school hopes that now people will understand how important being sustainable is.

Writing in capitals means you are shouting online

Humour is had to understand when writing as you can not see the person or hear their voice

Ask permission before posting anything online

The amazing fantastic day of the week

The Holidays

It was the afternoon and my mum and dad had been saying that we needed to go shopping all morning, but I thought that we were doing something else. I thought that we were going to the movies, but, my mum and dad said we weren't. Eventually, my mum told me to jump in the car, so I walked outside, opened the door of the car, went in and closed the door behind me. I put on the seat belt and waited. After a while my sister hopped in the car and put her seat belt on. About a minute later, my mum hopped in the car and started talking with me and my sister. About ten minutes later, my dad finally hopped in the driver's seat and drove us of to Riccarton Mall to do the shopping. In the car my sister was trying to sing some random song of hers and making a big racket. After a while of having to listen to my sister we arrived at the Riccarton Mall.

First we walked to JB-HIFI and looked at some games, then my dad said that he wanted to have a look at what movies were on, so we walked over to Hoyts, walked past the counter and walked into a cinema room. We watched Despicable Me 3. After the movie we walked out of Hoyts and my dad said “We still have to go shopping.”

Titanic story

The old rusty, blue boat named the Titanic sailed carefully on the clear water of the Atlantic ocean. Suddenly the terrified crew of the Titanic heard a gigantic rumbling noise and a tactical nuke came flying down almost hitting the Titanic. It sunk down, down, down until it blew up hitting the edge of the titanic and blowing it into an iceberg which smashed into a gazillion pieces. Then they heard more rumbling and realized they were in the area of Donald Trump’s secret nuclear powered hide out! Oh no!

Imaginary danger

One afternoon I was racing down a busy dangerous road in a heavy pink pram with two rockets, tied on the back by a thick rope. Suddenly I was reaching 100 kilometers an hour until I saw a truck right in front of me! Then I quickly leaned right, turning the pram merely dodging the big strong truck. It was a close one. I continued to go as fast as a leopard reaching 120 kilometers an hour! At that moment I saw my goal, KFC. I was going to hop through the window and get the burger of the day just before the last one gets eaten. Just before I was going to crash into the window I jumped, went through the open window and landed plop, in a red soft chair with the delicious meaty burger of the day right in front of me.
